TRAIN WITH US / FITNESS TESTS

Most training fails because it starts in the wrong place.

A Fitness Test is our diagnostic process - it gives a clear read on the social fitness of a person, a team, or a whole organisation, and an objective answer to the question everyone skips: where should we actually start?

WHY

Gut instinct guides how most organisations act on their relationships.

Designing by instinct wastes vast amounts of time and energy, with no real benefit to show for it. Our Fitness Tests replace the crude guessing with detailed baselines, meaning your efforts land where they make a difference.

6 lenses

A structured and comprehensive read, so nothing important gets left to intuition and priorities are clear.

3 levels

Runs for a whole organisation, a team, or an individual.

1 baseline

Leaves you with a starting point you can measure against, so progress can be monitored.

WHAT

What happens in a Fitness Test

Not another engagement survey. We look at what actually happens between people - as well as how they feel about it - and hand you a picture you can act on.

Balanced assessment

Both objective observations and subjective experiences matter here. We work with both so you have a holistic picture.

Six lenses

A structured, evidence-based framework that can be repeated, so the diagnosis is thorough rather than anecdotal.

An actionable baseline

You leave with a measured starting point and a clear place to begin.

THE FRAMEWORK

How we look at social fitness

When we assess social fitness - whether it’s yours, your team’s, or your organisation’s - we use six lenses. Taken together, they show your strengths, where you’re stretched, and where to focus.

01. STRUCTURE - Who’s there?

The people in your organisation and the networks they can reach. The connections between teams, departments and beyond - who knows whom, and how often they speak.

02. SATISFACTION - How does it feel?

How well current relationships are meeting needs. How connected people feel - to each other, to their role, to where the organisation is going.

03. BEHAVIOUR - What do you actually do?

The patterns that shape your relationships day-to-day. The rituals, routines and unspoken rules of how people work together.

04. CAPACITY - How skilled?

The specific skills brought to navigating relationships. The individual and collective skills of your people, and how these fit together.

05. GAPS - What’s missing?

The places where relationships are, or feel, absent or thin. The connections that should be there but aren’t.

06. ASPIRATION - Where are you going?

The relationships you want - or will need - next. The connections needed to grow, change and deliver the future you are working towards.

“A fascinating and thought provoking exercise that immediately made me want to go and shake things up.”

THE DETAIL

How a Fitness Test runs

Scope

We agree what we’re testing - taking account of any recent reviews - and at what level (you, your team, or the whole organisation).

01

Gather

We collect evidence across the six lenses taking a comprehensive (triangulated) approach.

02

Analyse

We turn it into a clear picture: where your social fitness is strong, where it’s stretched, where it’s thin.

03

Review

A session that walks you through the findings and where we collectively identify your priority - the first thing worth addressing.

04

Start with a baseline.

A Fitness Test is the cheapest, fastest and most efficient way to stop guessing.

It’s where most work with us begins.

Organisational PT —>

Settings matter just as much as skills in shaping relationships.

Workouts —>

Given the right conditions, relationship skills are entirely learnable.
